Mason's B-day Party

This past weekend was Mason's first birthday party. His birthday was the 7th. We had a lot of fun, and Kylie and Mason had fun together. She tried to open some of his presents herself but he wouldn't let her. He was so cute with the cake of course. He didn't know he was supposed to eat it until Will put some in his mouth. Then he went to town!

Kylie has three teeth that have come through and a fourth one on the way. Two bottom and a top one that I think is one of her side teeth. The fourth is a bottom coming through I think. She is getting better at walking along the coffee table and couch. Her new thing is letting go, standing for a few seconds, and then plopping on the floor on her butt. Good thing we got that rug for the living room! She is becoming a champ at the sippy cup and is getting used to the water I put in there. For a while she would make a face every time she got a gulp of water. She is also eating veggie puffs very well. They are sort of like a starter cheerio- they desolve really fast in the mouth.

We got her some new toys this weekend too. She love's Mason's little table so we got one for her. It has tons of buttons, knobs and things that play music and abc's etc. We also got this push thing that she can walk behind and push. She can't do that just yet but it will be nice when she starts walking. She loves to look out our big picture window too. Sometimes I will be in the other room and suddenly it will get really quiet out in the living room where she is. I will go in, and there she is standing at the window and staring outside at it. It looks so sweet!

Fun at the park!

We went to the park yesterday with Nicci and Mason. Kylie was Little Miss Cranky Pants, but Mason had a blast! They went on the swings, and even tried the slide. Kylie tried to eat the woodchips on the playground, but I guess that was better than the goose poop all over the grass. It was a beautiful day and I am glad we got to go out.
